As a member of the Refugee Concerns Interest Section (RCIS) with TESOL International, I receive emails when new information is shared. The Interest Section has begun interviewing its members to gain a better understanding of refugees and try to connect people who might have similar interests.
This is an interview with RCIS member, Bashar Al Hariri. He talks about his work at US Together in Toledo, where he started as a volunteer, and now wears many hats in helping refugees resettle.

Hello NVTESOL Community!
We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy! The NVTESOL Committee is happy to invite you all to our first hike! This will be a great time to socialize and discuss our amazing emergent bilingual students, all while being safe outdoors.
Save the date! May 16th at 9 am!
We will be meeting at the Historic Railroad Trail in Boulder City. This is a great and fairly easy hike. We will meet at the parking lot (we will have a sign!) at 9 am to start hiking by 9:10 am.
We will be providing refreshments and snacks.
More info about the trail: https://www.nps.gov/lake/planyourvisit/hikerr.htm
