Hello, My name is Lucero Rodriguez. This year will be my first year teaching after work at CCSD for about 10 years as support staff. I'm pretty excited! I did receive my Bachelor's degree from NSC in Business so I opted to go through UNLV since I will come out with a Master's in ECE while completing my ARL requirements. Currently, I am serving in the CCSD Diversity and Inclusion workgroup and have fallen in love with the work I am doing there. I'm eager to learn from all of your experiences!

People should not judge other people and don’t poke their nose in other people’s matter and should do whatever suits them and whatever is good for them. Don’t let other people destroy your vision and plans. Walk your own path.
Welcome Lucero! I taught Preschool for many years and loved it! Good luck on your first teaching year, I am sure it will be amazing! 😊
I am sure you will do amazing work back in the classroom!
I was not aware of this bill. That's an awesome opportunity!
I will be at Ruben P. Diaz ES, which is where I have been the last couple of years :) I know the Principal at Ronnow ES worked on Senate Bill 352 which would allow support staff to continue to work in their jobs and do their student teaching. I know that there was an amendment added to include school psychologists and it just passed. Here's hoping for more dedicated educators ❤️
Congratulations on your transition to teaching! I love support staff but I hope that more have the opportunity to become teachers if they would like that route. What school are you teaching at?
