Hello, Nice to see so many new members here! My name is Philip Riccobono and I am a full-time lecturer, teaching English language learners at Himeji Dokkyo University in western Japan. I hope to collaborate with NVTESOL members, creating virtual student exchanges between ELLs in Nevada and Japan, facilitating intercultural communication- high school or college/university level would be appropriate. If you are interested in co-organizing this sort of pedagogy on Zoom or other video meeting platforms, please let me know. My students in Japan have varying English levels. I look forward to meeting you! Thank you for your consideration.

Hello and nice to meet you. My name is Philip Riccobono and I currently teach English language learners at Himeji Dokkyo University in western Japan. I am originally from the U.S., having lived on both coasts. I have had the pleasure of teaching English learners in Thailand, South Korea, and Japan. I completed my Ph.D. at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. My research interests include corpus linguistics, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), vocabulary acquisition and Media Assisted Language Learning. I enjoy sharing my research and presenting at conferences, meeting like-minded educators who seek new approaches to help our learners. I hope to return living in southern Nevada, preferably working with ELLs in higher education. I have been an active member of Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT), functioning in different capacities as an officer of the Osaka Chapter. I will soon publish an ESP textbook called Baseball English. I look forward to meeting you!
